Leigh Veidman has joined Spokane Velocity FC as the expansion club’s first head coach ahead of their inaugural season in USL League One in 2024, the clubs announced Wednesday.
Veidman served as an assistant coach on Ben Pirmann’s staff during the 2023 season, helping guide Charleston to the Eastern Conference title and as USL Championship Finalists. The Liverpool native joined the Battery after serving as head coach of Championship side OKC Energy FC.
The club thanks Leigh for his contributions to Charleston’s successes in 2023 and wishes him the best in his new adventure in Spokane.
