
After an exhilarating Home Opener celebration at Patriots Point on March 12, the Charleston Battery announced Wednesday its full theme night and promotional schedule for the 2022 season. Fans can look forward to an exciting summer at Patriots Point with fan-favorite theme nights returning as well as new promotions and events to experience in celebration of the club’s 30th season.
“Kicking things off March 12 with our Home Opener at Patriots Point, Battery fans were electric, celebrating the start of the season with a 1-0 victory over FC Tulsa,” said Battery President of Business Operations Scott Krenitski. “We’re excited to keep that momentum going with a full slate of events at the stadium throughout the year with the party starting back up Friday, April 1, for the Holy City vs. Sin City when we welcome Las Vegas Lights FC to town for the very first time.”
The Battery welcome both returning and new corporate partners as part of the 2022 promotional calendar with several theme nights supporting community organizations close to the club.

- Holy City vs. Sin City | Fri., April 1 vs. Las Vegas Lights FC | 7 PM
Coming off the exciting Home Opener win, the second home match of the season welcomes Las Vegas Lights FC to Charleston for the very first time. The party kicks off at 5:30 with a pre-match concert featuring DJ Jill, plus a glowstick giveaway for the first 500 fans through the gates as we show the Sin City a thing or two about throwing a party here in the Holy City!
- 843 Night | Wed., April 6 vs. Tormenta FC (U.S. Open Cup) | 7 PM
The U.S. Open Cup returns to the “843” for the first time since 2018 as the Battery take on USL League One side South Georgia Tormenta FC. To celebrate, the club has issued a limited 843 tickets for only $8.43, $5 college night tickets for students with valid ID and $2 beers all night long.
- Family Day at Patriots Point | Sat. April 23 vs. Louisville City FC | 5 PM
With the only matinee match this season, the Battery celebrate Lowcountry families with Family Day at Patriots Point. The younger Battery fans can look forward to kids activities all match long followed by a kids autograph session with Battery players after the match.
- Healthcare Heroes Night | Fri., May 6 vs. Memphis 901 FC | 7 PM
Presented by MUSC Health
Coinciding with National Nurses Day, the Battery and MUSC Health are honoring our local healthcare heroes all match long! MUSC Health employees have access to free tickets through MUSC.
- Lowcountry Summer Kickoff | Sat., May 21 vs. The Miami FC | 7 PM
We’re kicking off summer in the Lowcountry with gates opening early for a summer celebration in the Battery Pavilion. Fans can look forward to drink specials throughout the celebration plus an exclusive Battery Summer Koozie giveaway for the first 500 fans through the gates!
- Charleston Pride Night | Sat., June 11 vs. Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC | 7 PM
In partnership with Charleston Pride & We Are Family
The Battery celebrate diversity and inclusivity in the Lowcountry with the return of Pride Night in support of Charleston Pride and We Are Family. The team will wear custom Pride Jerseys, with the player-worn jerseys being autographed and auctioned off to support these two amazing organizations.
- Military Appreciation Night | Sat., July 9 vs. Birmingham Legion FC | 8 PM
In partnership with the Palmetto Military Support Group
The Battery honor members of the military as the club takes on Birmingham Legion FC. The game will feature a color guard followed by a special performance of God Bless America and military flyover before kickoff. The Battery return the limited-edition Military Supporters Scarf and Battery Military T-Shirt with proceeds benefiting the Palmetto Military Support Group, which supports military members in the Lowcountry through volunteering, fundraising and community engagement opportunities.
- Hometown Heroes Night | Sat., July 30 vs. Sacramento Republic FC | 7:30 PM
The Battery honor our local first-responders against Sacramento Republic FC with special pre-match presentations. The day will also feature the return of the Battle of the Badges with the teams from the Charleston and North Charleston Police and Fire Departments facing off in an exhibition match.
- 30th Anniversary Homecoming Game | Sat., Aug. 27 vs. Detroit City FC | 8 PM
As the oldest continuously run professional soccer team in the United States, the Battery celebrate their 30-year history with exclusive 30th Anniversary giveaways, 1993 drink prices, and a special presentation honoring fan-favorite Battery alumni returning to Charleston for the match!
- Parks at the Pitch | Sat. Sept. 3 vs. New York Red Bulls II | 7 PM

As we head into the fall, we’re celebrating all the amazing outdoor activities here in the Lowcountry with Charleston County Parks! The evening includes giveaways all night long for tickets to Charleston County Parks’ roster of fall and winter events including the Harvest Festival and the Holiday Festival of Lights!
- Hispanic Heritage Night | Fri., Sept. 23 vs. Rio Grande Valley FC Toros | 7 PM
Presented by Berkeley Electric Cooperative
The Battery and Berkeley Electric Cooperative celebrate Charleston’s Hispanic Community Friday, September 23 against Rio Grande Valley FC Toros. The match features Spanish play-by-play announcers throughout the match, pre-match celebration in the Battery Pavilion and exclusive Hispanic Heritage Battery apparel.
- Breast Cancer Awareness Night | Sat. Oct. 15 vs. Loudoun United FC | 5 PM
Presented by Spinx Convenience Stores and in partnership with the American Cancer Society
The Battery close out the 2022 regular season with the return of the “Pink Out” at Patriots Point supporting the American Cancer Society and the Real Men Wear Pink campaign. The players will wear limited-edition “Pink Out” jerseys that will be autographed and auctioned off to support Breast Cancer Awareness initiatives throughout the Lowcountry.
