Twelve current Charleston Battery players have passed the Grassroots Youth Coaching Course and received their 9v9 and 11v11 licenses.
South Carolina Youth Soccer Association (SCYSA) Technical Director Greg Vallee ran the course at MUSC Health Stadium specifically for Battery players and staff members using youth players from Charleston Battery Soccer Club. Taylor Mueller, Ryan Arambula, Angelo Kelly, Skylar Thomas, Dante Marini, O’Brian Woodbine, Leland Archer, Nico Rittmeyer, Robert Beebe, Joe Kuzminsky, Ian Svantesson, and Jarad van Schaik all passed the course and received their Grassroots Youth Coaching License.
“It’s great to see the current professional players gaining their qualifications,” said Charleston Battery Soccer Club Youth Technical Director Derek Broadley. “This will help support the youth players who have joined our club and solidify the connection between the youth teams and the professional team.”
Several of the players who received their licenses will be coaching teams during CBSC’s inaugural season beginning in August.
