Charleston Battery defender Jarad van Schaik was named to the USL Team of the Week for week two after helping the Battery secure a shutout and a 1-0 win over Penn FC last Saturday.
Van Schaik recorded four tackles and four interceptions in the victory. The left back was part of a Battery defense that allowed just three shots on the night, none of which hit the target, despite playing down a man for the final eight minutes.
The Team of the Week honor is the fourth of van Schaik’s career.
