A strong, attacking wing back, AJ Paterson is back for his second season in Black and Yellow. AJ was drafted by Major League Soccer side New York City FC in 2018 but did not sign a contract with the club.
The Key Largo native had a short stint with Bethlehem Steel FC, now Philadelphia Union 2, in 2018 before signing with Charleston. Paterson scored 4 goals on the year in 2019, good for third best on the team.
Internationally, AJ was called into the Grenada National Team for the first time in 2018. More recently, he also featured for the Grenada National team, captaining his country in its qualification for the 2021 Gold Cup.
