AJ Paterson and Zeiko Lewis have been called up to represent their national teams in the final week of matches for CONCACAF Nations League Qualifying.
Paterson has been called up to the Grenada National team as they face Puerto Rico on Sunday, March 24th. This is Paterson’s second call up to the national team having earned the honors to represent Grenada for the first time in October of 2018. Going into the final week of matches, Grenada sits in the 24th spot of the CONCACAF Nations League Qualifying table.
Lewis is set to join the Bermuda National team ahead of their match against the Dominican Republic on Sunday, March 24th. Lewis made his national team debut at the age of 16 and has gone on to make eighteen appearances for Bermuda, scoring eight goals since 2011. Bermuda currently sits 7th in the CONCACAF Nations League Qualifying table.
Both countries are still playing for group position within the CONCACAF Nations League and qualification to the 2019 Gold Cup. The current standings would see Grenada qualify for Group C of the CONCACAF Nations League. Grenada has the chance to move into Group B with a small shot of qualifying for the Gold Cup. Bermuda currently sits in Group B and in Gold Cup qualification position. Weekend results could see the team move up into Group A, confirming their place in the Gold Cup or fall out of Gold Cup position remaining in Group B.
