In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month later this year and the club’s Hispanic Heritage Night match on September 13, the Charleston Battery are inviting fans to submit designs for the team’s warmup jerseys for the game.
Launching April 30, ahead of Cinco de Mayo weekend, the contest gives artists the chance to create a one-of-a-kind design that Battery players will wear during warmups on Hispanic Heritage Night on September 13. The club’s front office will then narrow down the submissions to a select group of finalists. From there, fans will be able to vote for their choice as the winning design online.
Charleston’s Hispanic community is an integral part of the entire Lowcountry community, and the contest offers artists a platform to showcase their creativity, share their stories through art and celebrate Hispanic heritage.
How It Works:
- Submissions open April 30 and can be uploaded here
- Fans can access a jersey template to place their design submission in the form
- Full contest details, information and submission instructions are all available on the linked form
- May 31 deadline
Prizes For the Winner Include:
- Recognized as Honorary Captain on September 13
- A team-signed Hispanic Heritage Night warmup jersey
- A private group space for up to 30 guests at Hispanic Heritage Night (a $750+ value)
- $250 cash prize
