The Charleston Battery announced Wednesday that goalkeeper Christian Garner has returned to Greenville Triumph SC following the conclusion of his short-term loan agreement. Garner heads back to the USL League One side after an admirable showing in USL Championship action last Friday.
Garner recorded three saves and one punch en route to a shutout in the Battery’s 5-0 victory over Indy Eleven at Patriots Point. Despite minimal preparation time in the days leading up to the match, Garner was a commanding presence and recorded the team’s league-leading 12th clean sheet of the year.
The Battery thank Garner for his contributions to the team and wish him the best of luck as he returns to Greenville for the remainder of their League One and Jägermeister Cup campaigns.
