If you’re excited about the upcoming 2024 season but unsure how to watch the Battery’s matches when you can’t attend in person, we’re here to help! This article aims to be a resource for you and your fellow supporters so you don’t miss a minute of the action.
Where are games being broadcast?
New to this year, matches are split between the ESPN family of networks and the CBS family of networks, with select Spanish-language broadcasts also on TelevisaUnivision channels complementing the ESPN and CBS games.
Locally, all of the Battery’s home league games, except the two fixtures exclusively on ESPN2/CBS Sports Network, will be available on WCSC 5.3 (Charleston) and WIS 10.4 (Columbia).
Seven of the Battery’s games will be broadcast on the free-to-watch CBS Sports Golazo Network, two on CBS Sports Network (national television), two on ESPN2 (national television) and the rest on ESPN+.
Two additional matches have been selected to air nationally in the U.S. on TUDN with Spanish-league commentary: August 10 vs. Memphis 901 FC and October 5 vs. Detroit City FC. The English broadcasts on ESPN+ will remain an option for both games.
Do I need a paid account for the games on CBS Sports Golazo Network?
No! The games are free and can be accessed via various methods and TV/mobile apps. You do not need to make an account nor sign up for a paid subscription to watch the Golazo Network.
Fans can stream the Golazo games directly on the Golazo website, the CBS Sports App (under the ‘Live TV’ section), the Pluto TV app, Roku app and the Paramount+ app.
If a game is on the Golazo Network, it will not be on ESPN+, but it could air on local TV for clubs who have local linear agreements.

Amazing! Which Battery games are on the Golazo Network?
The seven Battery games currently slated to be on the Golazo Network are below:
Saturday, March 9 | North Carolina FC vs. Charleston Battery
Wednesday, May 15 | Birmingham Legion FC vs. Charleston Battery
Friday, May 24 | Charleston Battery vs. El Paso Locomotive FC
Friday, June 28 | Charleston Battery vs. North Carolina FC
Friday, July 12 | Hartford Athletic vs. Charleston Battery
Friday, August 2 | Charleston Battery vs. Indy Eleven

I’m on the Golazo Network website, now where do I go?
That’s all! The game will broadcast right there on that link. Since the Golazo Network is its own channel, there’s no additional navigation or searching required to find the game once it starts. Rest assured, you’re where you need to be.
How do I know where games will be broadcast? Where can I find a link to watch one?
You can find the broadcast information via numerous avenues.
The Battery’s schedule page will provide the streaming/broadcast location and include links to the games where possible.
Social media posts on and prior to matchday will include information about the broadcast. The match preview articles, published roughly 48 hours prior to kickoff, will have this information and links at the bottom of the article.
The USL website will also publish a weekly viewing guide with broadcast information on all games that matchweek.
We want to make it easy for you to find out where to watch the game if you can’t attend in person.
Are the games on local TV?
Yes! The Battery are proud to partner with WCSC (Charleston) and WIS (Columbia) to bring the Battery’s regular season home games to local television.
Charleston home matches will air live on WCSC channel 5.3 in Charleston and WIS channel 10.4 in Columbia.
All of the Battery’s home league games, except the two fixtures exclusively on ESPN2/CBS Sports Network, will be available on WCSC and WIS.
A total of 15 home contests will air on local television, with the possibility of select road matches to also be carried on the networks.
Do I need a subscription to watch the ESPN+ games?
Yes. The games on ESPN+ require a paid ESPN+ subscription or one of the Disney bundles that includes ESPN+ in the package.
How can I watch the games on ESPN2 or CBS Sports Network or TUDN?
The games on ESPN2 and CBSSN can be watched via a typical cable/satellite TV subscription with the channels or a digital television/streaming subscription that includes the channels (such as Fubo TV, YouTube TV and so on).
They will not, however, be accessible with an ESPN+ account alone or on Paramount+. Nor will they be available on local linear channels, they are exclusive to ESPN2/CBSSN.
Fans may use the ESPN or CBS Sports apps or websites to stream the games by logging in with their TV subscription credentials.
The TUDN broadcasts will be similarly available via television and streaming packages that include the channel, but it is worth noting the broadcasts will all be in Spanish.
Can international viewers still watch games for free on YouTube?
Yes! Fans across Canada and the Eastern Hemisphere can watch all USL Championship games live for free on the league’s YouTube channel. Fans in Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean, are encouraged to check their local ESPN listings for access to all USLC matches throughout the 2024 season.
