Leland Archer and Zeiko Lewis have earned spots on their countries 23-man rosters ahead of the 2019 Gold Cup.
Archer and Trinidad and Tobago have their work cut out as they look to avoid an early exit from Group D after failing to qualify for the competition in 2017. Archer played his way into the U-17 Trinidad national team in 2013 and featured for Trinidad and Tobago in the 2015 CONCACAF U-20 Championships. Archer made his debut for the U-20’s against Panama in a 1-0 loss. Trinidad and Tobago take on Panama in their first group stage match at Allianz Field on June 18th at 7:30 PM EST.
Lewis will look to lead Bermuda out of Group B which include Costa Rica, Haiti, and Nicaragua. Lewis made his senior team debut at the age of 16, scoring 9 goals in 19 appearances for Bermuda since 2011. Lewis scored in his latest appearance for Bermuda against the Dominican Republic on March 24th. Bermuda square off against Haiti in the opening match of the group in San Jose, Costa Rica on June 16th at 6:00 PM EST.
The 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup kicks off on June 15th at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles as Canada take on Martinique at 7:30 PM EST. The group stage takes place through June 26th with the top two teams in each group advancing to the Quarterfinals on June 29th and June 30th. The Gold Cup final will be held at Chicago Field in Chicago on July 7th at 9:00 PM EST.
