This week’s Blackbaud Nonprofit of the Match is Tricounty Family Ministries.
Tricounty Family Ministries, is a nonprofit, ecumenical ministry providing food, clothing, medical care, counseling, job training & placement, shelter, financial assistance and other vital services to the less fortunate in the tricounty area. It offers a safe, compassionate, and inviting place for all people in need. The organization has been helping those in crisis move to a place of stability and ultimately self-sustainability since 1983.
Tricounty Family Ministries provides food, clothing, shelter, medical care, job training, job placement, education, counseling, financial assistance and other vital services for those in need. Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, over 350 hot, nutritious meals are provided through their soup kitchen.
The organization’s Healing Hands program is run by retired nurses and provides on-site medical care, prescription assistance, denture programs, mental health and addictions counseling, health & wellness initiative and more.
In 2017, Tricounty Family Ministries opened the doors to our new facility at the corner of Cosgrove Avenue and Rivers Avenue. After nearly 34 years in our original location, we were able to locate all operations under one roof in the first floor of Cherokee Place United Methodist Church. The expansion includes an indoor dining area to provide clients a safe, comfortable place to enjoy meals out of the elements.
To learn more or donate, visit tricountyfamilyministries.org and stop by their table on the west concourse on Saturday night. Be sure to cheer them on during the Blackbaud Crossbar Challenge at halftime as well!
