Pierre Reedy, 25, arrives in the Lowcountry after spending the end of the 2022-23 season with Scottish side Dundee FC. The versatile midfielder featured in four matches for Dundee, helping them win the Scottish Championship and secure promotion to the Scottish Premiership.
Prior to heading abroad, Reedy played for Real Salt Lake and Real Monarchs SLC in the 2022 season. Reedy made his Major League Soccer debut on April 3 against Colorado Rapids and started for RSL in their lone Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match. With Monarchs in MLS NEXT Pro, Reedy featured in 18 matches and tallied one assist.
Reedy, a native of Kutztown, Pa., played collegiately at Penn State University and captained the squad during his final three seasons with the Nittany Lions. He was a two-time All-America and All-Big Ten selection. Reedy played in 69 career games (64 starts), registering nine goals and 12 assists during his college career.
Reedy was also a recipient of the Big Ten Medal of Honor, one of the most prestigious awards in college athletics, which recognizes one student-athlete from each Big Ten school’s graduating class that demonstrates the greatest proficiency in athletics and scholastic work.
The midfielder played USL League Two side Reading United while at Penn State and was part of the New York Red Bulls Academy and Lehigh Valley United youth teams before heading to college.
