Current Team: Houston Dynamo (MLS)
Professional Appearances: 409
National Team Appearances: 126

DaMarcus Beasley appeared at Challenge Cup twice with his current club, the Houston Dynamo, in 2014 and 2015.

Beasley began his club career with the Chicago Fire where he scored 14 goals, recorded 20 assists, won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup twice, and the MLS Supporters’ Shield in four and a half seasons. Beasley was named to the MLS Best XI in 2003 while with the Fire and transferred to PSV in the Dutch first division shortly after.

During his time with PSV, Beasley became the first American to play in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. Beasley and PSV ultimately lost out to Italian giants AC Milan on the away goals rule. Despite missing out on the chance to play in a Champions League Final, Beasley earned three trophies with PSV, winning the Eredivisie twice and the KNVB Cup once.

Following his success at PSV, Beasley was loaned to Manchester City and played 18 English Premier League matches before moving to Glasgow Rangers permanently. While with Rangers, Beasley earned six pieces of silverware including the Scottish Premier League, the Scottish Cup, and the Scottish League Cup.

Beasley briefly played in Germany with Hannover 96 before moving on to Puebla in Liga MX where he spent three seasons. The winger scored twelve goals in 92 appearances for Puebla before returning to MLS with the Dynamo.

Beasley added another trophy to his collection in 2018, winning the Open Cup for a third time with Houston. He is a five time MLS All-Star and earned Houston’s Defensive Player of the Year award in 2015 and 2018.

Beasley is the seventh-most capped player in U.S. history with 126. He helped the United States capture the CONCACAF Gold Cup four times during his run with the national team and earned the tournament’s Golden Boot in 2005.
