Miguel Almiron played in the previous two iterations of Challenge Cup with reigning MLS Cup champions Atlanta United.
Prior to joining ATL UTD, Almiron won the Paraguayan Premiera Division twice, the Argentine Premiera Division, Copa Bicentario, and Supercopa Argentina before the age of 22.
The attacking midfielder helped Atlanta win MLS Cup in its second year, finishing the season with 12 goals and 14 assists. Almiron earned MLS All-Star honors and MLS Best XI recognition in both 2017 and 2018, the only other player to do so was Almiron’s teammate Josef Martinez. He was also named MLS Newcomer of the Year in 2017.
Almiron has earned 12 international caps with Paraguay, appearing in the Copa America Centenario and 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying.
With a move the the English Premier League looming, expect Almiron to appear much higher on this list in ten year's time.
