Brian Ching appeared at CCC four times, first with San Jose in 2005 and three times with Houston in 2006, 2007, and 2013.
During his 13-year professional career, Ching scored 101 goals in 264 appearances. The striker won three MLS Cups (2003, 2006, 2007), the MLS Supporters’ Shield (2005), the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup (2001), and the A-League Commissioner’s trophy (2002).
Ching collected several personal accolades during his career. He is a six time MLS All-Star and was named to the MLS Best XI in 2004. That same year, Ching earned the MLS Golden Boot and the MLS Comeback Player of the Year award. Ching was named MLS Cup MVP, helping the Dynamo defeat the New England Revolution on penalties for the club’s first of back-to-back Cup wins.
Ching scored 11 goals in 45 caps for the U.S. Men’s National Team and was part of the CONCACAF Gold Cup winning squad in 2007.
