Chris Wondolowski appeared at Carolina Challenge Cup three times at the beginning stages of his career - first as a rookie with the San Jose Earthquakes in 2005 then twice with the Houston Dynamo in 2006 and 2007.

During his 19-year MLS career, Wondolowski won two MLS Cups and the MLS Supporters’ Shield. He earned the MLS Golden Boot twice, made the MLS Best XI three times, played in four MLS All-Star games, and was named league MVP in 2012. Wondolowski is second all-time in MLS goals scored with 144 goals in 327 matches played. The striker will aim to break Landon Donovan’s record of 145 goals in the upcoming season.

On the international stage, Wondolowski scored 11 goals in 35 appearances for the United States Men’s National Team. He helped the U.S. win the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2013, finishing as the tournament’s top scorer
