Claudio Reyna played in CCC with New York Red Bulls six months after captaining the U.S. Men’s National Team in the 2006 FIFA World Cup.  

After collecting numerous personal accolades and winning three NCAA National Championships at the University of Virginia, Reyna set off to Germany to begin his professional career in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen.

Leverkusen loaned Reyna to VfL Wolfsburg in 1997, where the center midfielder quickly established himself in the first team and became the first American to captain a European club.

Following his time in the Bundesliga, Reyna made a move to Scotland. During his two seasons with Glasgow Rangers, Reyna played 64 games, scored ten goals, and won the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Cup. Reyna then went on the make 115 Premier League appearances with Sunderland and Manchester City.

Reyna played for the National Team for 13 straight years from 1994-2006, earning 112 caps and 94 starts. He was a member of four FIFA World Cup teams and currently ranks fifth all-time in assists with 19.
