The 2020 season is Jarad van Schaik's sixth with Charleston Battery. Charleston's swiss army knife, van Schaik returned to Charleston in 2017 after playing for NASL side Rayo OKC for the 2016 season.
Before leaving for Rayo, van Schaik captained the Battery in 2015, leading the team to a third-place finish during the regular season and the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Prior to joining the Battery, van Schiak spent two years with NASL side Puerto Rico Islanders. The veteran made his professional debut on May 14, 2011.
Van Schaik played four years at the University of Portland where he scored 13 goals and tallied 14 assists in 70 appearances for the Pilots.
