3 v 3 is the new game that everyone is talking about. For the third year, the Charleston Battery will be offering a summer and winter championship tournament. No goalkeepers, no offsides, no slide-tackles, but lots of goals. Each team has 5 players with three on the field and 2 substitutes. Matches consist of two 12-minute halves separated by a 2 minute break.

Charleston Battery Tournaments Presented by

Each team has five players with three on the field and two substitutes. Matches consist of two twelve-minute halves separated by a two minute break. All matches are played on Daniel Island at either the Charleston Battery practice facility or at Blackbaud Stadium.

Tournament Dates
Summer: June 24-25 Winter: December 2-3 Ages: U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14 Cost: $150 per team (five players) Includes: A minimum of four games (one at Blackbaud Stadium), Charleston Battery T-shirt, Charleston Battery game ticket (summer tournament only). Summer Tournament's Deadline: 6/2/06. Note: U8 and U10 winners and runners up will receive tournament medals.

All matches are played at either the Charleston Battery practice facility or the Charleston Battery home field at Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island.

The playing field is 40 yards long by 30 yards wide for ages U10 and higher (including adults); a 30 x 20 yard field is used for participants aged U8.

Goals are 8 feet wide x 4 feet high.

U8, U10, U12, U14, U16

Summer: June 18 - 19
Winter: December 3 - 4

$150 per team (five players)

A minimum of four games (one at Blackbaud Stadium), Charleston Battery T-Shirt, Charleston Battery game ticket (summer tournament only). Note: U8 and U10 winners and runners up will receive tournament medals.

Space is extremely limited - make sure you reserve a tournament berth for your team by registering now. Each team must fill out the registration form (one per team) and return it with payment of $150. Note: registration for the Winter Shootout must be completed before 11/17/06.
