Hollingsworth and Glinton honored
Charleston, SC. Charleston Battery midfielder Ben Hollingsworth and forward Gavin Glinton have been named to USL First Division All-League teams as voted by USL coaches and general managers. Hollingsworth has been named to the All-League First Team while Glinton has been named to the All-League Second Team.

Hollingsworth has enjoyed a stellar second season with the Charleston Battery scoring 13 goals and adding 4 assists in 28 games played. Hollingsworth notched 4 of his 13 goals in US Open Cup play helping the Battery advance to fourth round of US Soccer’s National Championship.

A native of Mount Pleasant, SC, Hollingsworth, 5-11, 180 lbs., 23 years, attended the College of Charleston before turning pro. In 2005, his rookie pro-season, Hollingsworth was named to the USL First Division All-League Second Team.

Gavin Glinton has had an impressive first season with the Charleston Battery scoring 12 goals in 25 games played. Glinton kicked off his Battery career by leading Charleston to victory in the season opener (04/29) with two goals versus the Virginia Beach Mariners; his 12 goals include 4 game-winners.

The Bradley University product missed the past two years through injury and had considered retiring from pro-soccer. Glinton reconsidered after earning a spot on the 2006 Battery roster after an excellent pre-season.
