Charleston Battery Hosts Aloha Night
Charleston, SC. The Charleston Battery is hosting an Aloha Night celebration this Saturday as the Battery welcomes the reigning USL First Division champions the Montreal Impact to Blackbaud Stadium; gates open at 6:30 PM with kick off set for 7:30 PM. The first 800 fans through the turnstiles will receive a free lei, there will be special Mai-Tai's available on the stadium concourse plus at half–time one lucky fan will be a winner in a limbo competition.

Game day promotions include the Wholly Cow Frisbee toss, where fans may purchase a Frisbee for $1 to throw onto the field at half time and win prizes. In the T-Bonz "Kick for Cash" contest, fans can sign up for their chance to kick on the stadium field for five thousand dollars.

Ongoing promotions also include the SAAB "Thump It in the Trunk" contest, where one lucky fan will win a chance to kick a soccer ball in the trunk of a new SAAB to win a three day extended test drive from SAAB. At the end of the season, one lucky fan will win a luxury weekend in Hilton Head.

In-game promotions include the Pretzel Twister Minute, where fans can win a free pretzel from the Pretzel Twister. During the Lloyd's "Guess the Distance" contest, fans have the chance to guess how far the Battery players run during the match; the fan who guesses closest to the actual distance will win a $100 gift certificate to Lloyd’s Soccer Sports.

One of the most exciting features of Blackbaud Stadium is the "Papa John's Fun Zone." Open from 60 minutes before kickoff through the end of each home game, this interactive soccer theme park has activities for kids of all ages. Activities include human foosball, the soccer bounce, a penalty kick game, face painting and an adventure playground.
