Charleston Battery to host three weeks of player trials
Charleston SC. The Charleston Battery has set dates for three player trials. The first session is January 19 – 21. A second trial will be held February 2 – 4 with the final session set for March 2 – 4. This will be the fifth year that the Battery will hold player trials. The Battery has consistently used its player trials as a source for new players; in 2006 the Battery signed five players from its trials - Brandon Curran, Armando Romero, Anthony Catalano, Jordan Hughes and Lawrence Smith.
Players attending the trials will be assessed by the Charleston Battery coaching staff, including Head Coach, Mike Anhaeuser and Assistant Coach Mark Watson. Players need only attend one week. Accommodations and meals are included in the price of the trials. Note: for Charleston area players there is a non-hotel payment option.
In 2006 Head Coaches from several other pro-soccer teams attended the Battery trials including representatives from Major League Soccer and several USL First & Second Division teams. Players will be assessed during daily training sessions, in addition to training games played at Blackbaud Stadium.

The cost for each trial camp is $300 ($200 locals not staying at team hotel). Space is extremely limited so please apply early.
