Battery looking for positive result against Impact
Charleston, SC. The Charleston Battery plays the Montreal Impact Wednesday night at Blackbaud Stadium; gates open at 6:30 PM with kick off set for 7:30 PM ($8 - $15, 971-GOAL / www.charlestonbattery.com). The Battery (2-1-2, 8 points) enters the game in a tie for third position in the USL First Division after last Friday’s 3-1 win against the Miami FC Blues. The Impact (2-3-0, 6 points) are back in 6th place, their most recent result was a 1-0 road loss to the Minnesota Thunder last Saturday night.
The Battery came from behind to top the Miami FC Blues in a nationally televised game on FOX Soccer Channel last Friday night at Blackbaud Stadium. After conceding an early goal Charleston fought back with two goals from Randi Patterson and one from midfielder Osvaldo Alonso to earn the three points.
