Battery v. Richmond Kickers - 17 June 2005 Updated 07/10/2005
DAMN!Finally, here are the photos! Photos Description
Boyzzz in action against Richmond. He likely wound up with the ball on this play since he was so solid against the Knickers.
Lazo in action. When you think back to the Richmond game, you can't forget that this guy was a major reason the for the result.
Ugo driving up the field, with Richmond already worn out and helpless.
Josh taking things into his own hands on yet another drive. What a fantastic match he played against the impotent Richmond midfield and defence.
Justin stripping our favourite Richmond player Kevin Jeffries of the ball. Justin was a big part of the Battery midfield keeping him out of the match.
Greg keeping his feet on the ground, eye on the ball. Richmond seemed to be napping all match long.
Lazo blowing by the inept challenge of Richie Williams.
Ted setting up a Charleston Battery corner kick.
Ted taking the kick - probably had Richmond scrambling again on this one.
Josh captured in action unleashing the cross that Lazo put in the net.
West Stands Here are the lucky folks seated in the West Stands who watched the lads beat Richmond. Though they should have been in E10, well ... at least they were at the match.
Here's the proof! The scoreboard at 58.00. The Battery mercilessly took it to the Kickers, and save for a deflection goal this result would have stuck ..
Here's the postgame celebration photo .. almost all of the foul finger gestures had been retired at this point by the way. Here's Dave, Andre', Angel, Wellington, Bill & Julie and Maurice kicking it in the car park after tagging the bus, Maurice's curse and watching the Battery defeat the Kickers.

The Regiment were focused on getting on telly and forgot about photos! At least I did. Who cares? WE F'ING BEAT RICHMOND!! Man, what a feeling!! And I've my own copy of the game from FSC in case any Richmond fans want to SEE them stink up the pitch down here in Chucktown. Man, it was worse than snorting pluff mud at low tide through a straw. Thanks again to Ken Bowman for providing the in-game photos.
