Raffle Now who in the world could resist this cuteness and not buy tickets? (Thanks to Mom for supplying this photo...)
Queso! Paul and Carolyn cheesing it up big time in the stands! (Thanks to Mom for supplying this photo as well...)
Headshot Benjamin sticking his head in the hole. I was impressed when I asked who it was in the picture, and he said it was "the guy and the name I can't say". Lazo, we'll keep trying!
Raffle here's Jim trying to talk Andre into buying one ticket for every person he brought up from Hilton Head. I think you can see his answer! har har
Nice work! Here Carolyn displays her newly-acquired face paint. She's an animal lover and you can tell .. the lady at the game does nice work! Never mind about the different outfit, I got the photos mixed up - leave me alone!
Lineup Another constant here - the pregame lineup, such as I can show with my camera. You got better?! Bring it, we could use it!
Bringing the noise! Here is E10 during the first half. Some of the 'newcomers' were either intimidated or wondering the rest of us are loons! See how still they sit, looking back as if they want to move to another section? Wait for it ..
Dry Land! We were lucky to escape the rain on our timely visit to Buck Rogers' box. If you like Manchester United, this place is where you might find one or two bits of memorabilia ..
Heavy Jonathan and Trent deep in discussion about how to get the lads back in the game. I think Trent is saying something about "two seconds of your life", but I can't be sure! Did he get Jonathan with that trick again?! Ha ha
No rest The rain that opened up on the crowd was no match for the drummers! They stayed put and used the ponchos to keep the rain off the drums. Well done boys for keeping the thumping up.
So close! E10 faithful mourn how close the Battery were to drawing with the (eh!) Impact in the second half..
The Next Generation E10 have successfully recruited some younger fans to keep up support for the Battery. These guys have been around and noisy a couple games, and we hope they keep coming back!
Action in the second half - what a novel idea, action stills in the supporters section. Actually, this is just fluff since we didn't get much other good material.
Ismael and Lupe taking in the action. I can't remember the exact phrase 'en Espanol', but I think it was something to do with how close the Battery came to scoring again.
To the wire E10 supporters chanting and cheering late into the match. Notice how the 'timid' have stood and joined in the noise .. we broke them! ha ha ha! Jim says "Just damn score already so we can take our points and move on up the standings already - Jay-sus!"
Strike up the band! Benjamin showed ol' dad up by blaring away on his horn all night. I canna get the damned thing to work once without sounding like a fatally-wounded badger, and Ismael won't let me forget it. At least young Benjamin is pulling his weight in supporting the Batts.
Sad? Benjamin took this picture, then asked if I thought the 'goalguy' was sad. This is late in the second, possibly injury time. I said that he might be, and we were all sad that it looked like the Battery were going to lose. He said "But Daddy, it's OK though, they can win next time." Ah, so much to learn son ...
Full Time I think this was immediately before the whistle. Five extra minutes without the Battery penetrating the Impact (eh!) defence. Dammit. At least the support was there through to the end. We didn't leave early, we didn't sit on our hands. Bollocks to the 'golf-clappers' in the stands as well.
TALK ABOUT HOSPITALITY Here are the crowd who braved the trip from Hilton Head in five cars! Andre Rouette, the soul of E10, inspired this lot to come up and support the lads. Here's hoping that they come more often, as we were loud and proud at this game!
Late night! Carolyn and Mr. Paul laughing it up in the Three Lions.
Yard's up! Anthony displays his prowess at the helm of a yard of Yuengling. Funny how his birthday is past, but he's got the most beer in the bell!
Bebir! Angel joins the festivities and has a pull on the yard - hell, man it looks like a regular friggin party up there! Don't look now, but I think he's done this before ..
Huaaah! Ken has a go, and why not? It's a birthday party!! Andre seems to be saying "G'won dude suck it all down" and Ismael is about to tickle him. Nothing like birthday backwash eh? Good form, my man!
Birthday Boy Here's a shot of Jim demonstrating the proven technique of sucking a yard almost dry. Trent is unduly concerned - I've never seen Jim spill a drop of "Ying-a-ding-ding" in my life! Happy Birthday Mr. President!
Birthday Girl Jeez, at least the boys saved her a drop! I donno who to thank for this photo, but thanks to Sara for the previous drinking photos. Happy Birthday to Sara - she's the Regiment Hospitality coordinator, and it looks like she's coordinated herself a good deal on this yard!
