| PHOTOGRAPHS FOR 2002 | Updated 09/02/2002 |
| In the Photos page, you'll find photographs of fans, soccers players, the Pub, and other things that you might not normally get to see on a fan Web site. What the heck, the photographers are zealous amateurs. | We simply want to show you how much fun people have watching the Battery games, conversing in the Pub, and even playing soccer themselves. The pictures are grouped with the latest coming first. Enjoy them! |

Kim, Stephanie, and Chris took these
snapshots at the Regiment Player Appreciation Party at the
Palmetto Islands County Park. Everyone had a good time!
Wish you were there!

Kim Gregory was nice enough to take the Reggie
camera and snap some pictures. She snapped a lot of them.
They show, we think, more of the atmosphere of the game
than do the previous sets of pictures. Tell us what you
think!

Those cheeseheads, the Milwaukee Rampage, nipped the Charleston Battery by the score of one-nil. The Battery faithful had to console themselves with a nip of their own, up in the Three Lions pub. |

The Charleston Battery rode over Hampton Roads. The pitch was torn up like old Roman pavement. The keeper got red-carded. And many of the fans came dressed in royal robes, bobby garb, and even Ozzy habillements, in celebration of BritFest II. |

The Charleston Battery beat the Eagles. The photographer, normally reliable, was unable to take pictures, because one of the photographees from the last game had crammed the camera up his *ss, and doctors are still determining how to extract it. |

The Charleston Battery pummeled the Patriots. English style versus South American style. |

The Charleston Battery played well, and generally had the advantage against the Montreal Impact. However, the only goal they got was somewhat of a freak accident! |

The Charleston Battery played well, had a lot of scoring chances, but couldn't cash in. And, unfortunately, we don't have any pictures from this game. Sorry! |

Mike Buytas sent us a small number of pictures of himself in his fan shirt. Take a look at these pictures of Mike Buytas . |

The Charleston Battery had their feet full with the New England Revolution. Paying fans unfortunately saw Erik Wynalda go down with a knee injury. Even that can't spoil a good game! |

The Charleston Battery clamped down pretty hard on the Dallas Burn in this pre-season exhibition game. Paying fans got their first glimpse of Erik Wynalda in a Battery uniform. |

This game was a first for Charleston, if I'm correct. It is a testament to the hard work that has gone into Blackbaud Stadium and the whole Charleston Battery organization. The place was packed, standing room only! Both sides showed great support for their teams, and it showed some of the diversity and friendliness of Charleston. So many more pictures could have been taken. If you have any pictures you want me to include in this section, send them on! Let everyone enjoy them! |

These pictures were taken during the 2001 season, and were contributed by Mike Buytas. They show a lot of action on the field at the games against the MetroStars, Cincinnatti, Pittsburgh, Richmond, and Nashville. Please note that Mike included a very fancy navigation screen, so please be patient while it loads down to your computer. If you want, you can contact Mike at buytame@hotmail.com , or send him mail at 1754B Frick Ave., Charleston AFB, SC 29404. |

Heck, I don't even know when the O-35 League started. All I know is I discovered this league in 1993, and no one laughed at me when I attended the first scrimmage wearing tennis shoes. Back in those days, it was rumored that Tony Bakker would just as soon break your legs as tackle the ball away from you. The O-35 league puts players into a draft based on skill level, with the idea of keeping the teams pretty even every season. It's a lot of fun. Contact Joe Shuford for more information about this league and its gang of "Old Peculiars". Also read about them in Wreck Soccer . Click on either the picture or the title for a full-size view of each picture. Most browsers will let you save the picture. Use your back-arrow to back out of the picture and get back to here. |
